Welcome to the Academic Committees site.

Academic Affairs has overall responsibility for the University's Academic Committees. Our aim is to provide a coherent and high quality structure for debate, decision-making, development and communication.

Academic Committee dates are now entered on the University's Outlook Committee Calendar which can be accessed from individual staff outlook calendars.

Committee Contacts

Within the Academic Affairs office, Peter Watson is responsible for management of the academic committee structure and Sara Cerfontyne supports committee operations.

If you have a specific query relating to an individual committee, please contact the committee secretary who will be happy to advise you.

Academic Affairs has direct administrative responsibility for the committees listed below:

Research Committees

The following research committees are managed within the Research Management and Administration office:

• Research Standards and Development Committee - Secretary: Sean Tonkin
• Research Degrees Sub-Committee - Secretary: Eva Broer
• Research Ethics Sub-Committee - Secretary: Stephan Barrett

In addition, the following sub-committees and groups are managed outside the Academic Affairs office:
